BlakDenim is a vanguard nine-piece hip-hop act that brings together clever lyricism and smooth vocal harmonies with a banging rhythm section and funkified horns. They infuse hip-hop, funk, rock, soul and jazz with lyrical content that ranges from the serious to the absurd, their tone from sweet to heavy, all connected by head-nodding melodies. The band’s line-up includes drums, bass guitar, piano, turntables, electric guitar, trumpet, tuba, congas, cello, flut, female vocalist and an emcee. BlakDenim puts on a high energy live performance of compelling originals executed with BlakDenim’s unique full sound. Their first EP is set to be released in May 2014
