Detroit rapper Danny Brown initially surfaced during the mid-2000s as a member of Reser’vor Dogs. Dubbed the Hybrid as soon as he came onto the scene, Danny Brown offers manic and mighty hype tracks (with his patented and chirpy "high voice") along with deeper, more meaningful tales of the hood (delivered in his "low voice"). Embracing his unique hood/hipster personality, Danny took full advantage of social media, and — fuelled by his wicked sense of humour — delivered some of the most vivid and side-splitting rhymes of his era.
After topping multiple best-of-2013 year end lists, Danny Brown embarked on his first official tour in support of his critically acclaimed studio debut, 'Old'. “The Old Danny Brown Tour” will see the Fool’s Gold MC kick off dates in Europe, stopping over at SXSW and then embarking on a 28-date-run across North America, with a much-anticipated stop in Ottawa to perform at the RBC Bluesfest. In recent years, Danny has shared the stage with everyone from Sleigh Bells and Baauer to Trash Talk and Action Bronson, along with a special appearance from Megan James of Purity Ring, when he made his late night TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
