Since forming in 1998, Drive-By Truckers has carved out an amazing following worldwide. Fans and critics alike have embraced their take-no-prisoners approach — a style that recalls the heyday of Southern rock while also being firmly rooted in the band’s contemporary sounds and influences. Boasting a mix of Southern pride, erudite lyrics, and a muscled three-guitar attack, Drive-By Truckers became one of the most well-respected alternative country-rock acts of the 2000s.The excitement generated by their first three indie-released CDs took a major leap with the release of their 2001 opus, ‘Southern Rock Opera’, which garnered a four-star review in Rolling Stone and wound up on many Best of 2001 CD lists.

More recently, along with years of relentless touring, the Truckers found time to release a second concert album, ‘Live from Austin TX’ (2009), as well as a collection of unreleased material entitled ‘The Fine Print: A Collection of Oddities and Rarities’. Frontman Patterson Hood rounded out the year by recording his second solo record, ‘Murdering Oscar (And Other Love Songs)’, and gathering his band mates back together after its release for another round of recording sessions. Two albums resulted from those sessions, 2010's ‘The Big To-Do’ and 2011's ‘Go-Go Boots’. Returning to the studio in 2013 with long-time producer David Barbe, the group opted for a stripped-back sound for its 12th album, 2014's exceptional 'English Oceans' on ATO.
