RBC Bluesfest Ottawa

Despite a tour hiatus a few years back, The Killers are back in action and have been confirmed to perform at the 2014 RBC Bluesfest.  The Killers were formed in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2001, by Brandon Flowers and Dave Keuning. Mark Stoermer and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. completed the current line-up of the band in 2002. The four band mates had been apart for almost five years, with the Flowers and Vannucci both testing the waters with solo albums. While their records were received very positively, it is difficult to match the popular gusto of The Killers music as a band. By the response of fans buying tickets to recent concerts, it appears as if The Killers are as popular as ever, if not more so. Concerts for most of their 2013 tour dates sold out immediately, even when playing at the most popular venue in world, Madison Square Garden. Any band or musician that can sell out MSG, is certainly trending in the right direction.  Their newest album 'Battle Born' has received high praise and for good reason – it’s terrific! And, The Killers promise to integrate songs from it into their set at this year’s 'fest. The word is that this concert will match the popularity of their last tour, which was an unequivocal success.
